NVQ 3 In Decorating Occupations
This programme further develops the essential craft skills and
underpinning knowledge for the craft of the painter and decorator.
Skills and topics include application of specialist finishes by
brush and roller, wall coverings to complex surface areas,
planning, organising, control and evaluation, maintaining working
conditions to meet quality standards and health and safety. Site
generated evidence is essential for the successful completion of
the programme.
Level 3 Diploma in Painting and Decorating
- Know how to carry out safe working practices in
construction
- Knowledge of information, quantities and communicating with
others
- Knowledge of building methods and construction technology
- Erect and dismantle access and working platforms
- Application of paint systems by brush and roller
- Apply papers to wall and ceilings
- Know how to produce specialist decorative finishes
- Know how to carry out specialist architectural feature
work
- Know how to apply water-borne paint systems using air-less
equipment
- Know how to prepare surfaces for decoration
