If you are in the position of having to make staff redundant we can provide free redundancy advice - this service is available to employers as well as employees under notice of redundancy.
Response to Redundancy from The Skills People at Lewisham College offers free support and skills development activities to help prepare your staff for re-employment. This might be for work outside your company or for vacant positions within your organisation.

Redundancy advice for individuals

We understand that losing your job and income can have a traumatic effect on you and your family.  This may include a lack of self confidence, financial worry and upset.  However, it can also give you the opportunity for a fresh start and a chance to re-evaluate your future.

Our Response to Redundancy programme supports individuals who have been made redundant within the last six months or are under notice of redundancy. We provide redundancy advice and a range of education and training services to develop the skills you need to help you find new employment.

What we offer
• One to one diagnostics - completion of a Training Needs Analysis
• One  day employability workshops covering topics such as: CV writing, getting yourself job ready, career planning, interview techniques, coping with change, IT and starting your own business
• 1 - 2 week sector specific courses - Retail, Hospitality, IT, Security
• Electrical short courses
• Basic, Intermediate and Advanced MS Office courses

To apply you need to either live or work in one of these London boroughs: Bexley, Bromley, Croydon, Greenwich, Kingston, Lewisham, Merton, Richmond or Sutton.
