This course suits qualified electricians who need to
update to the latest version of IEE Wiring Regulations BS
7671:2008
What will be studied?
The objective of the course is to provide students with:
- The opportunity to gain an appreciation of the 17th Edition IEE
Wiring Regulations (BS7671: 2008)
- An explanation of the new format and numbering system
- Details of new material included the new edition of the wiring
regulations
- Information about a number of important technical changes from
the 16th Edition of the IEE Wiring Regulations (BS7671: 2001)
This can lead to employment in:
- Electrician
- Apprentice electrician
What are the entry requirements?
You will need to have the following qualifications:
- City & Guilds Level 3 Certificate in the Requirements for
Electrical installations BS 7671: June 2001 (2831)
- City & Guilds Level 3 Certficate in Electrotechnical
Technology installation (Building and Structures) (2330-07),
or
- City and Guilds Level 3 Certificate in Electrotechnical
Technology Electrical Maintenance (2330-08)
- City and Guilds Level 3 Certficate in Electrical installation
Part Two (2360) (from 1 January 2004 onwards
How will I be assessed?
Assessment is by a 1-hour 20-question on-line GOLA exam
sat at the end of the course
