The SQA Level 2 NVQ in Interior Systems will provide an opportunity for candidates who are currently working in a relevant Construction discipline to obtain an industry recognised qualification that demonstrates their achieved levels of competence.

This qualification is structured to cater for seven disciplines within this industry sector. The seven disciplines are: Ceiling Fixing, Partitioning, Dry Lining - Fixing, Dry Lining - Finishing, Access Flooring, Cavity Barrier Installation and Fixer & Sheeter.

When undertaking a qualification that does not appear on the governments' lists as eligible for funding for specific age ranges, users must be aware of legal requirements. Not all qualifications are suitable for all age ranges.

Progression
This qualification features multiple options routes. Candidates can progress to other Construction awards at level 2, or to further supervisory qualifications. They can also achieve other associated routes in this area.

The qualification offers employment opportunities as learners are demonstrating occupational competence by qualification achievement.

Overall assessment method for the qualification
The NVQ is internally assessed and externally verified.

External quality control is achieved through an effective external verifier sampling process together with an annual approved centre risk rating system. External Verifiers have no links with the centres being verified.
