Numeracy courses are intended for employees with below GCSE level Maths.

Learning and skills outcomes
These courses will improve Maths skills in the workplace. Programs are contextualised to industry to meet the needs of employers. Real life maths skills that matter to business are taught.

  • Estimating production
  • Understanding invoices
  • Measuring volumes and quantities accurately
  • Processing accurate data
  • Working out quantity and cost
  • Understanding formulas
  • Data and patterns

Duration
Average programs are 30 or more hours for 10 - 15 weeks. Tailored to suit employers. Courses run at times to meet the needs of the business and take into account shift patterns.

Mode of study
Courses are delivered through taught classes in groups by  a Numeracy trainer. They can also be tailored to support the achievement of, or progression onto an NVQ.
