Protection of Vulnerable Adults (POVA)

Legislation and the General Social Care Council recommends every social care employee should undergo training in the Protection of Vulnerable Adults.

Our POVA course enables employees to understand how and why people abuse others, to recognise signs and symptoms and the reporting procedures. The course is aimed at anyone looking after an individual classified as vulnerable of working in an organisation where awareness of POVA is required.

The course is delivered over a half day in groups of up to 15 people in the workplace or at the college.
