Course Outline:
This qualification is based on Standards developed by Asset Skills,
the Sector Skills Council for cleaning and are ideal for you if
your job or intended job is involved primarily with cleaning
services.
Learning and skills outcomes
The aim of this qualification is to recognise good cleaning and
customer service practice. The flexibility of this qualification
will enable candidates' skills to be adapted for a specific work
based activity and/or employer requirements.
Help staff do their job better, improving quality of output and
decreasing time spent on solving problems.
The detail course content is as follow:
Candidates must complete a total of 7 units: 2 mandatory units and
5 optional units (at least 1 from each group)

- Ensure your own actions reduce risks to health and safety
- Promote and maintain service delivery
Optional Units
Group One
- Support the work of a team
- Develop and maintain positive working relationships with
customers
- Control the use of resources
- Communicate effectively in the work place
Group Two
- Clean floors manually
- Clean furniture , fittings and vertical surfaces manually
- Clean toilets and washrooms manually
- Clean and protect floors
- Clean carpets and soft furnishings
- Clean surfaces up to a maximum height of 4 metres
