As part of the 2009 Budget speech, the Chancellor of the
Exchequer announced details of a Young Person's Guarantee of
additional support for 18-24 year olds who are approaching 12
months unemployment. Routes Into Work is the pre-employment
training element of this offer; providing sector specific training,
work experience and job brokerage.
Working closely with Jobcentre Plus, the Skills People will be
identifying specific vacancies or key priority sectors based on
labour market information.
